Ballet With a Princess!!
Theatre Class. Acting, Improv, Creative Exploration.
In this super fun, energetic theatre class, students will practice their acting and creative skills. We will act out books, create stories together, have dance parties, work as an ensemble, draw, make friends and have fun thru theatre games.
Class experience
This is a super fun interactive, on your feet class. I have been teaching this particular class online for the past 3 years, and am just now bringing it to outschool! I am on my feet the whole time acting and encouraging your kids to explore their creativity in a super safe and supportive environment. I believe every child is born a "creative genius", and I encourage them to trust their amazing instincts in a safe place where they can make big choices. This will make them a better actor, yes, but I'm more excited for them to become confident and kind people!
I am a professional actor, and have been performing regionally across the country for the past 20 years. I have been teaching theatre for 4+ years in person and online. I am occasionally assisted in class by Mr. KJ (aka "Mr. Silly") who is a Broadway actor (and my husband) who has been teaching with me for the past 4 years.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We encourage parents to be nearby, but do not need any parental guidance or participation. We will be physically moving quite a bit (dance party warm up, acting out plays, moving our bodies around the space), so being able to keep an eye on your child is strongly encouraged.
We play pop music in our dance warm up (with clean lyrics).
