What's included
1 live meeting
55 mins in-class hoursHomework
1 hour per week. No assigned homework. Hopefully students will choose to practice and apply learned strategies on their own.Assessment
Self-assessment of pride in their own work and accomplishments.Class Experience
This sketching class will apply our tips and techniques from the initial class where we learned value, shading, adding of weight, and overall depth to form, as we strive towards realism. We will review techniques and then apply to commonly seen objects, as they appear in nature and the world around us. I strive to give each student simple, yet effective ways to help them expand on their personal talents. Different ability levels will challenge themselves where they meet the technique and then make it personally theirs. Appreciation and pride for their personal accomplishments is the goal. They are always encouraged and free to share their projects, but only if they are comfortable to do so. Feedback is always positive and uplifting.
Learning Goals
Students will learn sketching and drawing strategies that will help their own drawing and art talents expand and grow. Each student will apply techniques at their level. All ages will gain pride in their accomplishments by noticing that they are capable and creative in unique ways.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Massachusetts Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Bachelor's Degree in Education from Framingham State College
Hello! My name is Chantal Drezek. I graduated many years ago, from Framingham State University in Massachusetts and taught the second grade. I have also tutored many multiple age/ability levels and have had many successful and wonderful experiences with students integrated through our advanced ESL program. Math was my minor and love in college, along with Art study. These topics would be my primary focus and strength to share, although I welcome many more opportunities as well. I currently teach online to China and adore the students that I have been blessed to connect with! I love watching children making connections to the world around them and watching them take pride in their accomplishments. I am blessed to experience this daily with my own 5 children, throughout our personal life experiences and our homeschool academic journey, as they approach each day with new wonder and enthusiasm. I can't wait to work with you and your child(ren) through Outschool and provide them quality learning, respect, encouragement, and a renewed interest in the world around them! Thank you for the opportunity to help your child thrive and grow in both success and confidence!
