In this one time offered class, students will be engaging in analyzing figurative language through Taylor Swift's music lyrics. Students will be focusing on 4 figurative language types: simile, metaphor, personification, and hyperbole. The 45 minute class structure will contain a warm up, mini lesson, independent work (while I check in with individual students one at a time), and an online game to close the lesson.
