Calling all fans of Taylor Swift or learners interested in psychology! In this class, we will use Taylor Swift song lyrics to further our understanding of major psychological theories. Each lesson will have a psychological theme. I will present scientific research related to each theme and we will use examples of the lyrics of Taylor Swift songs demonstrate each concept. The lessons are part lecture and part discussion. Not only will be discuss how the song lyrics fit into our weekly theme, we will also practice critically thinking about scientific research. I will provide a weekly worksheet for homework. Learners are welcome to turn in their worksheet each week for feedback. No prior knowledge of psychology is needed.
