Parental Guidance
We will be playing Minecraft on a private Bedrock Realm. Please review internet safety with your child: — Do not ask other people to connect online outside of our programs without first confirming with your adults. — Do NOT give away personal information — If an individual asks for personal information, you should inform me, or your adult for guidance. There will be no participant allowed on this server that was not approved by me. Please note, students are not able to play in the realm outside of class times. It is not encouraged that students give out contact information unless adults have approved. Learners may have the ability to communicate in the realm during class if parental settings have allowed this. Students have the ability to place signs in-game as well as a form of communication. Minecraft played in survival mode does have some minor cartoon violence, players use pixelized weapons to defeat "mobs" such as zombies or skeletons they also have the option to farm animals for food. Players also can take damage and "die". This resets their character at a spawn point. There is no blood, gore, profanity, or sexuality. https://www.commonsensemedia.org/game-reviews/minecraft/user-reviews/adult

Master's Degree in Education from Eastern Connecticut State University
Hello! My name is Robin Monini.
I currently offering classes in Minecraft. I have experience in outdoor education in a wide variety of settings from guiding snorkeling in rural forest communities to urban gardening in cities. I earned my associate's degree in fish and wildlife technology, bachelor's degree in fisheries and aquaculture, and master's degree in elementary education. I hold a teaching certification in elementary, secondary biology, and agriculture education. I currently work as an aquaculture and aquaponics high school teacher in a rural public school. I am also certified in Project WET, Project WET WOW!, Project WILD, and Project Learning Tree.
I love to get people of all ages excited about the environment and conservation. Knowledge is power, and we must learn about something in order to love it, and when we love it, we want to protect it. I believe learning should be student-centered and interactive. Children are naturally curious and I believe that we should promote this in every learning experience.
Some of my favorite hobbies are hiking, snorkeling, photography, Minecraft, geocaching, and reading. I look forward to teaching and learning with my students.

Late or Missed Class Policy
All courses will start on time as long as one learner is in the classroom. In the event that no students are in the classroom at the start of class time, the teacher will leave a message on the discussion board and close the zoom session after 10 minutes.

Schedule Requests/ Private Classes
I can respond directly to schedule requests. I check my requests daily and I will accommodate as much as I can! I also will accommodate for private lessons, please message me about times and cost. Although I do not have any automatic availability set, I may still be able to create sections for classes that may work for you.

Siblings
If you have more than one learner enrolled in a class, each learner that wants to join the class must be enrolled to be fair to other learners participating. Enrolled siblings are always welcome to share a screen during the class, please let me know if that will be the case.

Refunds and Transfers:
Per Outschool's limited refund policy: "Full refund within 24 hours of purchase or up to a week in advance of the class.", missed classes do not qualify for a refund. I will be happy to transfer your learner to another section but require at least 24 hours' notice.

For one-time classes:
If within the week, you realize you won't be able to make class, please submit a transfer request from the classroom at least 24 hours in advance. This ensures learners who would like to take the class have enough time to see the opening and enroll.
If contacted after class, I cannot refund or transfer. I do understand personal/family emergencies come up and will do my best to accommodate you if I am contacted before class. If your learner is withdrawn on your end within the non-refundable period, I am unable to transfer you. It is best to contact me first for your options.

Refund/Transfer Policy
Per Outschool policy, there are no refunds for missed classes. I will be glad to transfer your learner to another section but require 24 hours' notice. This timing is necessary in order to fill the spot you are transferring from. If I transfer you on short notice, I may not be able to fill your original spot, which means you are taking up two spots but only paying for one.
