This is a weekly reading class for students to master sight words based on word families. Each week we will learn a new word family and practice sounding them out in class, participate in games, and practice writing our words.

Students will begin reading words based on word families. The student will work on sounding the words out and writing them.
Mrs. Brooke received a full ride scholarship and studied Piano and Voice Performance at Arizona Christian University. She has over 17 years of teaching experience and specializes in making the classes fun and engaging for her students. Mrs. Brooke is a homeschool mom and has been teaching her children in every area of school for over 10 years. She’s very excited to be offering reading classes here on Outschool and meeting new learners!

Students are encouraged to print off the provided worksheet to practice their words throughout the week.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Students should know their alphabet sounds.
Students will practice writing each word, so a notebook and pencil or whiteboard and marker is encouraged. There will also be a worksheet available for each student to print off before class.
