In this course, students will be given guided practice problems to subtract two fractions. Problems will be presented with two fractions with the same denominator, and with two fractions that have different denominators. This should not be the student's first exposure to this mathematical operation. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Strategies such as using visuals and multiplication conversion to equivalent fractions will be demonstrated as needed. Students should have a good knowledge of multiplication and basic fraction knowledge before attending this class. Please schedule carefully, as missed classes will not be rescheduled or refunded.
