This class is a read aloud time used to develop a child's understandings of various monthly themes.
Class experience
During each class, I will read a children's book (listed below) while engaging the students with comprehension questions, interactions, predictions, and movement to develop their vocabulary and understanding of the story. I believe reading books to children is an important way to develop their thoughts, vocabulary, sentence development, and future reading, writing, and math skills. I have been using this technique for many years to help children see how fun and enjoy books and learning can be!
When needed, I will provide a materials list and directions for each of the activities and crafts before we begin in class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Younger children may need guidance to understand the teachers directions and expectations at first, but will usually quickly develop these understand
