In this class students will be taught the fundamentals of reading beginning with letters. This class is one on one and will be individualized specific to each student’s needs. Each session will include interactive activities as well as games and additional exercises to help learners practice the things they learn each week. I strive to create a warm and welcoming classroom where student s feel comfortable and are excited to learn. This is a beginner class for students who have never read before or who are just getting started and need a little additional help. We will work on learning letters and sound correspondence, phonological and phonemic awareness, high frequency words, decodable texts, leveled texts and reading comprehensions.

Each class will be specific to the student’s needs but this is an example of typical topics covered each week.
