Story Creation Class! the Quest for the Legendary Lunch: Sir Sandwich Maker

In this 4 week introductory course your child will learn the fundamentals of speech and the formula of good story creation and writing.

Class experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
This class is taught in English.
Throughout the 4-week storytelling class, students will achieve the following learning goals:

Week 1: Introduction to the Magical World of Words
- Understand the basics of language and its components, including parts of speech.
- Develop the ability to create engaging characters and settings for a story.

Week 2: Unleash Your Imagination with Adlibs Games
- Enhance spontaneity and creativity through laughter-filled adlibs games.
- Contribute actively to the collaborative development of a story with evolving plot twists.

Week 3: Crafting the Perfect Story and Artistic Expression
- Master the step-by-step process of crafting a captivating story.
- Integrate artistic expression by creating vibrant artwork to complement and support the story.

Week 4: Showtime - Reading and Celebrating Our Story
- Gain confidence in presenting and reading stories aloud.
- Reflect on the creative journey and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Experience the joy of collaborative storytelling and artistic expression.

Overall Class Goals:
- Develop a deep appreciation for the creative process of storytelling.
- Enhance language skills, including understanding parts of speech and narrative structure.
- Cultivate imagination, spontaneity, and collaboration through interactive activities.
- Create a sense of accomplishment by collaboratively building and presenting a unique, imaginative story.
- Foster a love for storytelling and the arts.

By the end of the class, students will have not only acquired essential storytelling skills but also experienced the joy of bringing their imaginative tales to life through both words and art.
I have over 10 years of teaching children and two of those years working specifically on story creation! 
Homework Offered
Homework will only be assigned in week three for the student to bring the character created to life! There will be no formal grading.

Notebook, writing materials for note taking. Access to media for art such as painting supplies, markers, crayons, digital art access.
since the story creation is open to student input their may be mild forms of sensitive wording such as "The dragon fought the evil owl" or " The knight used his sword to cut the magical sandwich" . Please note that while each student will have input on the overall story being created, I will restrict offensive or otherwise obvious harmful input to keep the class safe and productive for the entire class.
