In this Level 4 course, students will continue to learn the principles of programming and robotics through the use of Scratch and a fun little robot named Codey Rocky. NOTE: Students must have a Codey Rocky robot to enroll in this class.

*Note: Students must have a Codey Rocky robot to take this class, see the Supply List for details****** In this Level 4 course, students will continue to learn the principles of programming and robotics through the use of Scratch and our Codey Rocky. Codey Rocky uses a visual blocked-based programming language making it easy for students to create complex sequences by just dragging and dropping. At the end of the course, kids will continue to develop fundamental concepts of programming while having fun and playing games. CLASS SCHEDULE: Session 1: Functions Part 2 - Simplifying code Students will further strengthen their understanding test their knowledge of functions from Level 3 with this learning activity. Session 2: Variables Students will be introduced to the concept of Variables and how they can keep track of actions. Students will complete a guided practice followed by an independent practice. Session 3: Variables - Part 2 Students will test their knowledge of Variables in combination with Functions. Session 4: Variables and Functions Combo We will put to the test the principles learned in Level 4 by doing some interesting challenges involving sensors, functions and variables Session 5: Challenge Day! Students will test their knowledge by completing a fun and interactive challenge activity with the class followed by an independent game practice.
