Spring Into Story & Art: A Guided Drawing Class

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California, Riverside and have spent over a decade creating learning experiences for children through homeschooling, tutoring, and classroom teaching. For the past 10+ years, I’ve homeschooled my two children, designing lessons across multiple subjects with a strong focus on literacy, creativity, and individualized learning styles.

In addition to homeschooling, I currently work as a substitute teacher in local public elementary schools. This experience has strengthened my ability to engage children in group settings, guide them through step-by-step activities, and maintain a warm and welcoming classroom environment.

Throughout my teaching journey, I’ve also worked as a private tutor supporting students with reading comprehension, writing, and self-expression. My approach blends structure with creativity—I believe children learn best when they feel safe, inspired, and seen.

This class combines my love of literature and visual art with my passion for helping children build confidence through imagination. I look forward to bringing that energy to each learner who joins me in class.
