Students will journey through the solar system in six steps as they are introduced to the concept of groups and the parts of a multiplication expression. Students will learn the concept and importance of groups in performing multiplication. They will also learn the proper way to write a multiplication expression and the significance of number placement in an expression. Students will be familiar with the draw a picture strategy after this class and will be able to apply it to multiplication expressions.
My classroom experience as an elementary school substitute and tutoring experience with SplashLearn provide me the experience to teach this basic topic to young learners

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
