In this one-time class, students will learn graphic design techniques in a fun, engaging way. Then, they will use their new skills to make a complete bullet journal spread. Plus, they'll learn modern calligraphy and organizational skills.
Class experience
Bullet journaling is an extremely popular and exciting way to express your creativity--and stay organized. In this class, students will learn basic design techniques that can elevate any bullet journal or art project. I will teach the learners how to hand letter via an overhead camera, so they can see exactly how to create stunning calligraphy. (All you need is a pen or pencil--no fancy tools required!) First, learners will learn the basics of hand lettering. Then, students will learn three of Gestalt's Principles of Design. Students will also learn how to make their bullet journal functional for daily use. Ultimately, the goal is to have fun and be creative while learning basic graphic design skills!
- Paper/sketch book/bullet journal - Ballpoint pen or similar - Washi tape AND/OR masking tape - Brush pens (optional) - Any type of marker (optional) - stickers (optional) - any other type of stationary they want to decorate their spreads!
