No previous knowledge about space is required. We will learn the basics about the solar system, the sun, planets, moons, stars, and space travel. My class is interactive and a blend of discussion, reading, videos, and games. I will be teaching live. My teaching style is warm and friendly. I am engaging and keep the students active during the lesson through discussion and interactive activities online. I will include several short video clips and share interesting facts about the planets and...
Students will learn about the following topics: the solar system, planets, sun, Earth, Earth's moon, stars, asteroids, comets, NASA, and space exploration! We also will do interactive activities and crafts to help with our understanding of space. We will also learn space vocabulary!
Please have paper, a pencil and crayons/markers
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will have an informal assessment at the end of each intro class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be using videos, ebooks, and materials from NASA.gov
