There are NO live meetings for this class. The material will be posted weekly and you can view it during the week at your convenience. Each week for 4 weeks students will be guided through a variety of horticultural vocabulary and techniques with videos that have been pre-recorded, along with slides and demonstrations. Students will also receive access to the PowerPoint presentations used in class. They have the opportunity at home to follow along to recorded demonstrations to learn hands-on skills with plants. Students will learn basic plant propagation techniques. The class will discuss air-layering and tissue culture. The course will also cover seed propagation, starting plants from cuttings, and dividing root zones to make new plants, these will also be demonstrated in video over the course of the 4 weeks. Homework will not be assigned for this course. All hands-on skills are optional for this course and are recommended but not required. I can be reached by message on Outschool. All important matters for the group will be posted to the class page. Learning Goals
In this course we will cover what propagation is. Students will learn about several horticultural propagation techniques including: cuttings, air layering, division, tissue culture, and seed. Students will be able to follow alongside and demonstrate hands-on skills with plant cuttings, plant division, and seed propagation.

Parental Guidance
Class will be facilitated through slides on Canva. No other account is needed for this course other than Outschool.
Supply List
No supplies for this course are necessary. Pen or pencil and paper for note taking is always recommended! Learners may get more out of this course from having house plants to take cuttings from, do divisions with, and seeds for starting plants but none of that is required!
