Week 2: Color Theory and Blending
- Understanding the color wheel - Mixing and blending colors - Double Dip Flower Technique - Triple Dip Flower Technique - Clusters - Homework: Practice the above techniques
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Week 3: One Strokes
- One stroke Large and Small - Split cakes Large and Small - Main Strokes -One stroke Roses - Homework Practice: Roses, teardrops, swirls, dots, clusters
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Week 4: Filbert Brushes, Sponge, Glitter and Stencils
- Filbert brush techniques - Sponge technique - Glitter techniques - Stencil techniques Homework Practice: Create a design using all of these techniques

Week 5: Focal Points and Symmetry
- Highlights and shadow - Focal Points - Symmetry - One-stroke Butterfly - Sponge Butterfly - Homework Practice: Butterflies

Week 6: Quick Designs and your first event

This class is taught in English.
  • Develop color theory knowledge: Understanding the color wheel Mixing colors effectively Creating balanced color schemes
  • Understand face anatomy and design placement: Identifying key facial features Placing designs appropriately on different face shapes
  • Practice hygiene and safety: Proper sanitization of tools and workspace Identifying common allergens in face paints Safe application and removal techniques
  • Improve speed and efficiency: Completing simple designs within 3-5 minutes Managing time during busy events
  • Develop blending and shading skills: Creating smooth color transitions Adding depth to designs with highlights and shadows
  • Master sponge techniques: Even base coat application Creating textures and backgrounds
  • Learn proper paint consistency: Achieving the right paint-to-water ratio Understanding when to use thick vs. thin paint
  • Gain confidence in interacting with clients: Communicating design ideas clearly Handling special requests and adjustments
  • Learn essential face painting designs: Simple flowers Basic animals (cat, dog, butterfly)
  • The goal for each student is to create vivid designs by gaining muscle memory used in the foundation of linework and design placement, understanding color theory, master all techniques of color loading, and working with clients in a fast-paced enviroment.
2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Homework
Frequency: 3-6 throughout the class
Feedback: included
Details: The students will need to practice what they learned at a minimum of 3-6 times per week. They will need to practice on their practice boards and then move on to a person.
Certificate of Completion
Frequency: 1 after class completion
Details: The students will receive a Certificate of Completion for a beginner's face painter course after the course is complete. With this, they may move on to taking the advance course for face painting .

There are a few designs that may be triggering for some children. The Skull, Claw Marks, and Zombie may be too upsetting. Please let me know if these are too scary, and I'll give your student a different character to paint.
