Welcome to my music studio, Outschoolers! As a singer or a complete beginner to the piano, in this one-time lesson d edition series, you will learn to sing or play a song/piece! The goal of these lessons is to introduce you to * basic singing or keyboard/piano technique * teach you to sing or play a song/piece * gain confidence, and More importantly, I want you to enjoy singing and/or play the piano/keyboard and have fun! Please note: * If you are signing up for piano, make sure you have a working keyboard or piano. You do not need to know how to read music

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have PhD in Music and Voice Performance; Masters degrees in Voice Performance and English Literature and ATCL and LTCL Voice diplomas from the Trinity College, London. I have performed as a live and recording artist internationally. If you are familiar with Bollywood (Indian cinema), I have collaborated with A.R. Rahman, the Oscar-winning Indian film music composer of Slumdog Millionaire (2008); my voice features on several of his film soundtracks. With more than 20 years of experience teaching individuals and groups at the college, conservatory, and private studio levels, my students range from beginners to advanced levels. I teach all genres, however, I use the foundations of classical vocal technique because they ensure good posture, breathing, and vocal technique for life-long, healthy singing
