Exit Ticket at the end of class. Question: simplify a fraction, student will select the answer and submit.

Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 6

Students will learn how to simplify a fraction to its equivalent fraction. Apply vocabulary terms: Simplify, reduce, equivalent, numerator, denominator, greatest common divisor/greatest common factor.

Students will apply the strategy to divide the numerator and denominator of a fraction by its greatest common factor in order to reduce to its equivalent fraction. After review, learner will be able to work with task cards of multiple fractions that will be simplified. I will facilitate a few in order for student to feel comfortable assessing independently. Then I will apply some for student to solve independent and discuss answers at the end. As an exit ticket, I will apply a zoom poll to ensure student has an understanding of the lesson. Teaching style: interactive, start off with me introducing problems and will expect student to self advocate if clarification is needed. Will also ask for response if student is comfortable answering prompting questions.

Will use whiteboard on zoom and annotate on google slide presentation that will be screen share. 
Student may use paper and pencil for notes if preferred to.
