"Sign Language for Little Ones: My First Signs" Welcome to "My First Signs: See & Sign," a fun and interactive American Sign Language (ASL) class specially designed for your little ones. In this engaging class, we'll introduce common words and phrases in ASL, such as "mommy," "daddy," and "I love you," allowing your child to explore the world of sign language alongside verbal communication. Here's an overview of our class: Class Schedule 5 minutes - Review or Homework 15 minutes- Learning New Signs & Info 10 minutes- Practicing in Games or Quizzes 1. Introduction: We'll start by getting to know each other, saying our names, and finding out which signs your child already knows. 🖐️ Fingerspelling & Introductions Numbers Basic Signs Part 1 🌈 Colors By the end of our session, your little one will have not only learned new signs but also enjoyed an interactive and engaging experience in the world of ASL. Get ready for a playful and educational adventure!
Learning Goals
1. Students will be able to fingerspell the manual alphabet by memory.

Our team consists of American Sign Language signers who are proficient in both ASL and English. They have substantial expertise in instructing both hearing and deaf children, holding certifications as teachers and tutors. Collectively, their experience spans more than five decades within the public school system. This remarkable group possesses a deep affection for working with children and is well-equipped to provide top-notch instruction.
Ms.Trina- Hearing CODA-Educational Sign Language Interpreter. With a career spanning over two decades, Ms. Trina boasts extensive experience as an Educational Interpreter and Tutor, having closely worked with deaf and hard of hearing students across various school districts.
Ms. Lisa Marie- Deaf Teacher- She is proficient in English, Spanish, American Sign Language, and Nicaraguan Sign Language. Her teaching journey of more than 10 years has encompassed roles in teaching, assisting, and mentoring students and interpreters.
Ms. Denise - Deaf Tutor - Her mastery extends beyond communication forms like speech, lipreading, and sign language. Her patience and kindness have guided numerous students, while her role as a tutor and assistant teacher at the School for the Deaf has left a positive impact.
Mr. Curt - Deaf Teacher -With extensive experience as a Deaf tutor, Mr. Curt has worked with both Deaf and hearing students within a school district for over five years. His commitment to an inclusive and supportive learning environment stems from his deep understanding of Deaf culture and communication, coupled with a Bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies.
