Students will learn:
MAKEUP & BODYPAINT
 Professional makeup application including preparation, safety, sanitization, and proper removal. The differences and uses of bodypaint options and how to properly apply each type for a flawless application.
SPECIAL EFFECTS MAKEUP (SFX)
 How to do create custom SFX wounds, apply pre-made prosthetics, create custom prosthetics, and apply seamless SFX effects. SFX Brow blocking technique.
PLANNING & DESIGN
 How to use visualization, vision boards, and facecharts to design makeup looks.
SAFETY & MAINTENANCE
 How to properly use and maintain makeup products and tools.

All MUA Co-Op classes and camps are taught by professional makeup artist and/or bodypainters.

Homework Offered
Minimal homework. (Optional)

PLANNING & DESIGN
 Research their character and work on their facechart and/or vision board.
SAFETY & MAINTENANCE
 Inventory their own products and tools to ensure they are maintaining them safely. Clean their makeup tools.
SFX MAKEUP
 Practice special effects makeup techniques. Practice making custom prosthetics.
AFTER CAMP COMPLETION
Keep practicing! Mastery is achieved through dedication to practice. Create as often as possible! Students are encouraged to come to our GRWM classes or consider joining one the Makeup Challenge Group to be challenged to a new creative brief everyday and enjoy the support of a thriving artistic community!
Assessments Offered
The last day of class serves as the assessment. Students will put everything they have learned together, will wear a costume to the final class if desired (please cover for protection during makeup application), then student MUAs and their Mentor MUA will apply their SFX makeup together. Teacher will continue to guide students to ensure every student MUA is able to execute their look!
