Welcome to the Semester Long Book Club! In this book club, we will meet once a week for sixteen weeks to discuss our books. We will read one book a week, and students will need to be ready to discuss the stories during our meeting. I have been running book clubs in person and online for over 10 years. I have experience working with students ages 8 and up and approach all topics in an age-appropriate way. If students need to be redirected, I will do that. I always listen to students and their opinions making them feel heard and appreciated for their thoughts.
Homework Offered
The students will need to read the books prior to each meeting and come to class prepared to discuss.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class

Families are responsible for getting the books for their students.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Books should be pre-read by parents if you have any concerns about content. Reviews can also be found on Common Sense Media, Amazon, Goodreads, Kirkus, and The School Library Journal. Please be aware that some of these books have themes dealing with racism, sexism, historical trauma, magic, murder, abuse, revenge, fantasy violence, mental illness, depression, etc. There may be inappropriate language in some of the books. Pre-read if you have any concerns. Thank you.
