Description

Class Experience

Students will learn about:
1) Multi-media layering techniques
2) Uses for oil pastel
3) Uses for acrylic paint
4) Scratch Art-What it is and how it is done
5) Line drawing and shading techniques such as hatching, crosshatching, & contours
There is no assigned homework. Students that do not finish their final art piece by the end of class are encouraged to complete it on their own time and send me a picture of their final piece.
White card stock Oil pastels (any brand) Black acrylic paint (any brand) Flat paint brush Cup of water Paper towel Blow dryer Table covering Smock or old shirt Scratching tool such as: a wooden skewer, quilting needle, or plastic /wooden stylus.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students will be using an instrument with a pointed end for doing a scratch drawing. Any pointed object can be dangerous if used inappropriately.
