This is an 8-session class. In Level 3, students will start learning how to read and write in Russian all familiar words. We will read and write, translate short stories and videos. We will write simple basic sentences as well. All sessions will be recorded and posted and materials provided. You will have homework to practice some vocabulary. We will follow the Rosetta Stone curriculum as we continue with most common conversations such as greeting, discussing weather, family, age, professions, money. I use Kahoots and Pear desk software to practice the grammar and vocabulary checking for understanding. Here is breakdown of how each week will look in class: Week of August 15 -Greet people and make small talk about name, age, and family -Ask simple questions about family, age, food, time, friendship Week of August 22 -Use adjectives in order to describe people, places, and things -Discuss interests, occupations and hobbies Week of August 29 -Discuss time and schedules -Use common verbs in the present and future tense Week of September 5 -Order food from a restaurant -Discuss food and meals Week of September 12 -Buy items in a market/store -Discuss colors Week of September 19 -Food preparation and serving -Translation from Russian to English Week of September 26 -Asking specific questions about objects and people -Gimkit review Week of October 3 -Using complex sentences with "because" and "so" -Creating a full story about yourself
