4 in-class hoursClass Experience
In this action-packed adventure, learners will build characters, roll play the story, and use critical thinking skills to nab as much honey as they can from HoneyCon without getting caught by the humans. This campaign will exercise our critical thinking, imagination, team work, and story telling. It is a great socialization experience as well as learners will have four hours of fun together being guided gently by the Bear Master (BM). What to expect when you are a bear: - The BM will ensure that everyone can feel safe in the campaign by laying down some basic rules at the beginning of the game (see below). Any learner not following the rules will be warned only once before getting placed into a private breakout session room for a few minutes to remind themselves of the rules. Break the rules twice, and that bear will be kicked out of the game. - FUN FIRST rules second... the BM will allow any reasonable actions to be taken in the game scenario and will work with players to allow for the best outcome. However, the dice decide the fate of an action as successful or not. - Plenty of time for team work. This game is all about acting as part of a team, and there will not be a lot of talking from the BM other than to build a scene so that the bears feel immersed in the campaign. - BREAKS will be taken as needed and there will be scheduled 15 minute break in the middle of the campaign to stretch our legs, go to the bathroom and grab snacks/drinks. When signing up for this campaign, bears are expected to follow the following rules (along with the general Outschool rules): 1. Be respectful of your fellow bears and the BM - take turns talking (you can feel free to use the chat function if you feel extra chatty and just need to get your thoughts out at once), use a bear's preferred pronouns, do not harm your fellow bears and keep your language and actions appropriate for your age group. 2. Do not argue about actions that did not succeed - it happens - sometimes failure can make the best stories. 3. Work as part of the team (you can have secret agendas, but the should not hinder the team from their overall success.
