Class Experience

Beginner - Intermediate Level
This mentorship is an interactive, project-driven experience where students create their own Roblox game while learning the core skills of game development.

Each session focuses on practical application—students will design, build, and refine their projects with direct mentorship and guidance. The course is structured to ensure steady skill development, but flexible enough for students to explore their own creative ideas.

Students will start by learning how to use Roblox Studio, understanding key tools, and navigating the game-building environment. From there, they will dive into scripting with Lua, gradually incorporating interactive mechanics such as movement systems, collectibles, and obstacles.

Beyond technical skills, students will also develop essential problem-solving abilities, learning how to approach challenges with creativity and persistence.

Collaboration is encouraged, allowing students to discuss ideas, troubleshoot issues together, and learn from one another. By the end of the mentorship, each student will have created a functional game they can continue to develop and expand on their own.

Learning Goals

Build a strong foundation in Roblox Studio tools and game design concepts.
Learn basic Lua scripting to create movement, interactions, and game mechanics.

Hi everyone! I'm Diza, and I'm thrilled to introduce your child to the exciting world of coding—starting with their favorite platform, Roblox!

What Makes My Classes Special?
I believe kids learn best when they’re having fun. That’s why I use Roblox Studio as the core platform in many of my classes—because kids already love Roblox, and it’s the perfect gateway into real coding and game design. We also explore Minecraft and Unity in select courses, but Roblox is where we start building skills that stick.

My teaching style is all about learning through play. In a safe, supportive environment, your child will build, code, and test their own Roblox games while developing creative problem-solving skills and technical confidence.

What Will Your Child Learn?
In my Roblox coding classes, your child will:

🧠 Learn core programming concepts like variables, loops, and conditionals using Lua scripting
🎮 Discover what makes a game fun, balanced, and rewarding to play
🛠️ Design their own Roblox experiences—from obstacle courses to story-based games
🤝 Work on collaborative projects and learn to share and explain their ideas
💻 Build digital confidence through hands-on coding in a familiar, exciting space

Whether they’re new to coding or ready to level up their skills, I meet each student where they are—encouraging exploration, experimentation, and creativity every step of the way.

Why Choose My Classes?
With a degree in Computer Science specializing in Game Development, I bring both technical knowledge and a genuine passion for helping kids discover their potential through coding. Roblox makes it easy to get started—and even easier to stay motivated. My goal is to turn that love of gaming into a powerful learning journey.

I tailor each class to your child’s interests and pace, making sure they feel both challenged and supported. From their first script to their first published game, I’m here to help them grow into confident, capable young creators.

Let’s turn your child’s love of Roblox into real-world coding skills—and have a blast doing it! Join us and watch their creativity soar!

==========================================================
🕹️ This class is taught by two awesome instructors—Ms. Diza and Mr. Brandon! They teach at different times, so your child will be with one instructor per session (not both together). ==========================================================

Hi everyone! I’m Brandon, and I’m excited to help your child explore the fun, creative, and empowering world of Roblox coding! Alongside Diza, I teach Roblox classes here at Bloom Academy. You’ll usually find me leading the afternoon sessions—typically between 11am–7pm PST / 2pm–10pm EST.

If you don’t see a time that works for your schedule, feel free to send us a message—we’re always happy to set up a class that fits your needs!

As a coding instructor with a background in Engineering and Applied Science from Queen’s University, I combine technical expertise with a passion for making complex ideas approachable and engaging for kids. Over the past eight years, I’ve helped students build confidence in STEM through hands-on learning—and now I bring that same approach to Roblox game development.

What Will Your Child Experience in My Classes?

In my Roblox coding classes, students go beyond just playing games—they learn how to create them! Using Roblox Studio and Lua scripting, we dive into:

💡 Coding concepts like loops, variables, conditionals, and functions
🎮 Game design fundamentals—what makes a game fun, fair, and engaging
🧠 Logical thinking and problem-solving skills that apply far beyond the screen
🤝 Collaboration and communication, especially in team-based projects
🛠️ Real-world tech literacy in a safe, supportive environment

I also lead Roblox social clubs, where kids can explore new games, share strategies, and connect with other players in a fun, moderated space. These clubs are perfect for students who love the Roblox universe and want to grow socially and creatively while having fun.

Why Learn Coding Through Roblox?
Roblox is a platform kids already love—and that makes it a powerful gateway into the world of programming and game design. My goal is to help each student turn their curiosity into confidence, whether they’re building their first obby or coding more advanced interactive systems.

I tailor every session to match your child’s interests and experience level, offering the right mix of challenge and support. Whether your child is brand new to coding or ready to take their skills to the next level, I’m here to guide them every step of the way.

Let’s unlock your child’s creativity and build something amazing together in Roblox!
