Join us as we explore the control center for your whole body, the brain! This unique and complex organ has many roles. It controls your thoughts, breathing, movement, emotions and more! We will learn about the basic functions of the different parts of the brain, and some basic information about the development and growth of brain cells. Throughout the class discussion we will ask and answer our questions about this curious control center. Lastly, we will use rice krisp cereal, marshmallows, licorice and food coloring, to make our model of the brain. Classes are delivered in an engaging and student centered format.
