Average rating:5.0Number of reviews:(7)
A one-on-one piano lesson for students of any ability and level. Lessons are tailored to the individual, and are meant to instill and teach the joy/creativity of music. Taught by a MTNA Certified teacher with a Masters in Music Pedagogy.

Class experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
I am a National.y Certified Teacher of Music (Piano) through the Music Teachers National Association. I also have a bachelors degree in Music Education (K-12), and a Masters of Music in Pedagogy.
Homework Offered
Practicing itself depends on the individual student, their skill level, and their personal goals. Each student is expected to practice at home between lessons, and after each lesson each student is given instructions on what to practice, and how often. This could be a time limit, such as “practice this piece for a total of 10 minutes a day,” or a number of repetitions, such as “play this rhythm exercise at least 5 times this week.” Again, everything is tailored to the specific individual.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Grades Offered
I have experience teaching piano to student with ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, and other learning disabilities. If your student wants to learn I am confident that I can adapt to any needs they may have.
Learners will eventually need their own music books, however, I like to get to know the learner and their personal goals before settling on which methodology to use. At the minimum, students are required to have a 72-key electric keyboard (with the expectation that they will eventually need an 88-key keyboard). An electric keyboard should have weighted-keys. Acoustic pianos of course are always acceptable, however, I understand they are costly.
