Homework
1-2 hours per week. Students are required to practice the assigned work to review and master the work. This is also for muscle memory and coordination!Class Experience
Students will expand their learning of the clarinet through rhythm, technique and the performance of songs. This class is personalized to fit the individual needs of the child enrolled. Week 1- Review of "basic" clarinet or saxophone needs. Including but not limited to the following: hand position, embouchure. Student will be introduced to long tones, a basic warm-up and we will prioritize goals. Week 2-4 Review of previous week's works. We will then build upon the priorities for the learner. This class will be personalized to meet the needs of the individual student. This class is structured in a hands-on fashion where students will be the active participants as the teacher models the procedures. Lessons are interactive, students will play most of the time and are encouraged to ask questions. Students will be engaged through dialogue, listening and performing with and without teacher. Teacher will give immediate feedback for student.

Teacher will provide PDF material as needed through the teacher portal on the course sight for downloading/ printing. All additional items can be purchased from any local music store or on-line: working clarinet or saxophone 2-4 reeds Method book TBD wire or plastic stand pencil metronome or metronome app
