Do you love to imagine cute and fun characters and create stories about them through drawing? As a picture book illustrator this is something that I love to do. In this class we will design and draw characters, adding our own interpretation and story. Characters may be inspired by animals, fairy tales, holidays, fantasy, science fiction, or outer space. This is a one-on-one private drawing lessons which means that students may enroll for as many sessions as they like. LESSON...
-Student will design and draw a character related to a theme or subject -Student will draw character with simple shapes, then add detail. -Student will add element to show a background for the character.
I am a certified K-12 arts educator, a published children's book author-illustrator and I am currently pursuing an MA in illustration.
-white drawing paper or sketchbook -pencil -black permanent marker (optional for outlining) -coloring materials such as crayons, colored pencils or markers
