Private 1:1 Phonics Tutoring-Learn How to Recognise, Say, Write and Blend Them!

Welcome to my class everyone!

You can take this class from 1 - 5 times a week!

In this class learners will go through the phases of all letters and sounds (starting at their level), which are ;  

Phase 1 - m, a, s, d, t, i, n, p, g, o, c, k,
     u, b, f, e, l, h, r, j, v, y, w, z, x
     sh, th, ch, qu, ng, nk

Phase 2 -  ay, ee, igh, ow, oo, oo,
     ar, or, air, ir, ou, oy

Phase 3 -  ea, oi, a-e, i-e, o-e, u-e,
     aw, are, ur, er, ow, ai, oa, ew,
     ire, ear, ure

Additional sounds -  ue, ie, au, e-e, kn, ck, wh, ph

Please note if your child is slightly more advanced we will start with either phase 2 or 3 and read a phonics book together. The lesson will be completely tailored to your child's level and needs.

Each sound will be taught separately and has a rhyming alliteration and a picture to go with it, an example of this is 'Maisie mountain mouse' for the letter m. This is to make each sound seem fun and helps learners remember the sound. We will practice writing each sound as we go through them, and read 5 simple words with each sound in them.

I am a very patient and calm teacher and my aim for each class is to help children learn and build their confidence with the English language.

Each lesson is only 20 minutes long and on a 1:1 bases, this is because I think children can only retain full concentration for no longer than 20 minutes and learn better when they have the teachers 100% attention.
