Pop Diva! Spotlighting Your Favorite Queens of Pop Sing/Dance With Pop-Up Class

Hi there!

I'm Danielle Pender, an experienced professional teacher of dance, founder of Pop-Up Class, and a master instructor.  I'm certified through the American Council of Exercise and have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Education from Columbia College. I have performed with national championship dance teams on ESPN, prestigious performance art dance companies, Disney live musical shows, Royal Caribbean cruise ships, performing all around the world. I've danced in local neighborhood festivals, large concert arenas, Montmartre Paris, London New Year's parade, and (my favorite) in my kitchen, wearing pajamas, with my family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦   

Currently, I'm teaching at the highest-rated studio in Chicago (yeah Chitown) and love sharing my passion for creative movement with children.  It is my honor and privilege to teach your child. Dance is a gift. I feel a great sense of duty in handing down this precious gift to future generations. I take this responsibility seriously with honor, integrity, and grace.  I put a lot of time into preparing the curriculum so your child will receive the most efficient, fast-track, result-oriented experience. 

My student's stories of growth inspire me.  At first, they don't think they can, but with practice, they impress themselves, their confidence soars, and they are proud of their accomplishments.  We have fun learning new skills while improving our technique and discovering our unique artistic abilities through self-expression.

My teaching philosophy is about the journey of discovery. I encourage children to be independent thinkers, find connections in life, be social, and be excited life-long learners.

It is important to me that all children have a positive, encouraging, and magical time in class. I promote a stress-free, inclusive environment. I believe that learning is accomplished best in situations where children are having fun ❤️

You can expect your child to receive lots of encouragement and positive praise during our time together. They will leave feeling excited about movement and have a new dance to perform at home 👯‍♀️
