Pokemon Adventures Drawing Class

In this 4 week class, students will create four unique drawings showcasing multiple Pokemon characters in each drawing. Feedback will be provided on Mondays and Wednesdays for works submitted for review.

Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Beginner Level
Each class is designed to guide students through the drawing process at their own pace. Students are encouraged to pause the video whenever needed to allow time for their drawing pace. The listed materials are simple and accessible to most, including 8.5" x 11" copy paper, pencil, eraser, black marker and coloring instruments. These may be colored pencils, markers or, crayons.

Students will develop their observational skills through guided drawings of popular Pokemon characters while developing an understanding of space, landscape and composition.

Syllabus

5 Lessons
over 4 Weeks
Lesson 1:
Pokemon Playground
 Students will develop their observational skills by participating in a guided drawing of 4 Pokemon characters playing on a child-friendly playground. The foreground, middle ground, and background will be introduced during the drawing session. Following each lesson, students are encouraged to share an image of their drawing via attachment to my email. The educator will provide feedback and support within 48 hours.

Lesson 2:
Pokemon Spooky Forest
 Students will further develop their observational skills by participating in a guided drawing of 3 Pokemon characters exploring a "spooky forest". Overlapping forms to demonstrate distance will be introduced. Following each lesson, students are encouraged to share an image of their drawing via attachment to my email. The educator will provide feedback and support within 48 hours. 
Lesson 3:
Pokemon Winter Fun Part 1
 Students will be challenged to draw 5 Pokemon characters having a snowball fight. Overlapping forms and basic linear perspective will be introduced during this drawing session. This is part one of a two-part lesson. Following each lesson, students are encouraged to share an image of their drawing via attachment to my email. The educator will provide feedback and support within 48 hours. 
Lesson 4:
Pokemon Winter Fun Part 2
 Students will return to their winter-themed Pokemon drawings. In this lesson, the instructor will go over the application of color through demonstration and how to create a winter look and feel within the picture. Following each lesson, students are encouraged to share an image of their drawing via attachment to my email. The educator will provide feedback and support within 48 hours.

For each lesson, 8.5" x 11" white copy paper, pencil, black marker and coloring materials. Colored pencils, markers or crayons may be used
