Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
In this one time class, students will practice their addition in the tens and hundreds place and play a game.  The teacher will demonstrate adding numbers in the tens and hundreds places.  Students will work with the teacher to solve problems as well as work problems on their own.  Students will also play a game using dice.  Students should know their basic addition facts as well as numbers and their values up to 1,000.  Students who know their basic addition facts, as well as their numbers and values up to 1,000, could do well in this class.  Let's practice addition and play a game!

Hello everyone!  Welcome to Outschool!  
My name is Ms. Julie and I'm excited to meet you!  I teach Reading, Math, Writing, ESL (English As a Second Language), and other subjects too.  I've been an educator and teaching for over 20 years in both brick-and-mortar and online.  When I'm not teaching, I can often be found tutoring online or in person.  My experience includes working with preschool to high school students with a lot of my experience with elementary and middle school age groups.  I have an elementary education K-6 grade license as well as a math 5-8 license and a K-12 ESL (English As a Second Language) License.  I have taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for many years also.  My masters in reading has been a great resource as well.
Every student can learn and I believe we all learn in different ways.  I love to have fun while learning!  When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside with my furry friend or time with family and friends.
