Class Experience
Learners will start at the very beginning with learning what the keyboard is and how it is set up. We will learn finger position and hand placement. Learners will learn both the treble and bass clef staff and how it applies to the piano. Rhythm reading will be incorporated as the learner advances. As this is an ongoing class we will continue adding and increasing the skills that will be addressed including using both hands and extending past the basic hand position. Piano is a great instrument to learn at any age and provides an outstanding foundation for musical development.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the keyboard, note and rhythm reading, hand position, rhythmic notation and advance at their own pace.

Supply List
Students will need a piano or keyboard, a video set up that will allow Mrs. Sego to see the student and the keyboard and a book. Once we set up lessons, we will decide which book fits your learner best!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
