Please message me for an available day and time if there is not one already listed that works with your schedule. Individual piano lessons, one on one instruction. Week 1: finger numbers, name the keys, count quarter notes and half notes. Week 2: higher and lower, left and right, up and down. Week 3: switch hands, hands together, add a note, intervals. Week 4: rests, repeats, three in a row, five in a row. Focus is on reading music so you will need a lesson book (listed in materials or contact me if you have had lessons before and already have a book). Students will be given instruction and practice assignments. Students will need to order assigned books online (usually $6 each). Students need a keyboard or piano to practice 4-5 days a week. Lessons begin with the student playing the assigned songs, then receive instruction on how to improve or change what they've played. After that we go over new material and take notes on new songs assigned. Expected practice time is based on repetition, not minutes. Each song should be played 2-3 times when practicing. Ideally the camera should be to the side of the keyboard so I can see the student's hands and keys, and so the student can view my 2 screens (please use gallery view). Thank you!!!
Learning Goals
Students will learn to read music and play songs on keyboard or piano
