US Grade Kindergarten - 2
This class is perfect for students that can count to 100, but are not familar with the 100 chart or those that are struggling with counting to 100. In this class students will learn the patterns on a hundreds chart. They will talk about patterns that they see and learn from each other's observations. They will read how to read and predict numbers on the chart. Learning the patterns on the chart will help in two ways. It can help students to see the patterns that make counting to 100 easier. It can also help students that are higher level thinkers to recognize patterns and use their mathematical vocabulary to explain the patters that they see. Students performing above a 2nd grade level in math would be better suited to the Patterns in Math - Patterns in Math Multiples/Multiplication Tables.
Learning Goals
The goals for this class is to recognize patterns on the 100 chart and use mathematical vocabulary to explain those patterns. It is also to understand how to use a 100 chart and predict what number will go in each section.
