Class experience
In this class learners will be introduced to acrylic painting techniques needed to create representational or impressionistic depictions of water wakes from reference images. No two paintings are ever the same when we bring unique artistic interests and flair. THIS IS NOT A STEP BY STEP CLASS In this class we will work together using the same techniques and using the same medium but create individual artworks. From this class learners will have gained and practiced the knowledge needed to pursue acrylic painting in their personal art practice. Learners will have used a variety of painting techniques and touched on the elements of art and design to make decisions about composition and colour. Learners will have gained confidence in their abilities and had an opportunity to practice and solidify their artistic language.
Homework Offered
The goal will be for us to complete our weekly tasks in class however as a technique and process driven program, learners who work more methodically or at a pace different than the other learners may find themselves finishing up exercises in between classes. Learners will never be rushed through their work during class time and instead supported in the classroom in between live meetings.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Learners will want to have: a set of tube acrylic paints, a variety of synthetic brushes including a large and medium flat and a detail brush, a small to medium sized canvas no larger than 8x10 ( no smaller than 4x4), water/paint water, paper towel or rag, a palette or palette paper 2-3 sheets of watercolor paper a generous space to work a keen interest in painting
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
