US Grade 3 - 5
In this Math bootcamp, learners will be introduced to new (or reviewed) Math skills that are part of the common core standards for 4th and 5th Grade. In this class, we will work to master these skills through weekly skill-building. We will focus on a variety of Math skills- focusing on one per week, through worksheets, hands-on activities, games, and more! ➡️ What skills will we learn? • Multiplying 2 & 3-Digit Numbers • Long Division • Adding & Subtracting Decimals • Multiplying Decimals (Money) • Simplifying Fractions • Adding & Subtracting Fractions • Multiplying & Dividing Fractions 💻 What is the class layout like? As mentioned above, our class is designed to work on mastering the essential 4th and 5th Grade Math skills through weekly skill-building. Each week, we will meet once per week for 40 minutes per class. Additionally, each week, a new skill will be taught. Following our greeting and lecture, I choose to incorporate the "I Do, We Do, You Do" method. 👩🏫 I Do: Class will begin with teacher-led instruction. The new math skill of the week will be introduced by me, right on our screen, through an interactive slideshow. 🙋🏻♀️ We Do: Then, as a class, we will work together to solve examples. 📝 You Do: Lastly, as a class, we will work on a skill page/worksheet together to show what we learned with our new skill. I am there to help students throughout the whole process if they get stuck or have any questions. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ⭐️ Class Schedule ⭐️ 📝 Unit 1: • Multiplying 2-Digit & 3-Digit Numbers 📝 Unit 2: • Long Division 📝 Unit 3: • Adding & Subtracting Decimals 📝 Unit 4: • Multiplying Decimals 📝 Unit 5: • Simplifying Fractions 📝 Unit 6: • Adding & Subtracting Fractions 📝 Unit 7: • Multiplying & Dividing Fractions ^^ Class content will restart with Unit 1/Lesson 1 once we have gone through all units and lessons! ⭐️ This class is great for your learner if you are looking to follow 4th and 5th Grade common core standards. Your learner will be exposed to these necessary Math skills for their particular grade level. As mentioned above, once we have gone through the units listed, class will start over again from the beginning. Since this is an ongoing class, you are able to join (or leave) at anytime. Please note that since this class is ongoing, you are charged weekly for it on Sundays. - - Other Added Notes - - • Reinforcement: I love to add positive reinforcement to the end of our units to show what we know and what we have learned. How you might ask? By playing a game! This will allow learners to show their newfound skill knowledge in a fun, engaging way! (ex. an escape room or Blooket) • Homework or Additional Practice: Optional homework worksheets will be provided in the Classroom page for at-home practice. If you choose not to print them out and use them, that's okay! These additional pages will not be the same as our weekly worksheets that we do together in class. These additional practice pages will help your learner to continue reviewing and mastering each skill/lesson. • I provide my lessons through a slideshow presentation. Weekly worksheets will be posted in the Classroom page for learners to print out. If you don't have access to a printer, please don't worry. A piece of paper or a notebook with a pencil work just fine! Other alternative supplies are a dry-erase board and a marker.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello everyone, my name is Miss Alyssa. Welcome to my classroom!
I am a positive and enthusiastic teacher who loves to integrate fun into my classroom. I have my Bachelor's degree in Education. I have been teaching for 5 years. I have taught Preschool and Pre-K. Currently, I teach 5th grade.
I truly believe that children learn best not only when they're engaged, but also when they're having fun! That’s why I strive to make learning fun for all children.
What does my classroom look like? My classes will offer slideshow presentations, movement/brain breaks, music and stories, arts and crafts, experiments, and open discussions. Each class will be engaging, interactive, and student-centered. I offer the 3-step approach to learning: I do, we do, you do. With this approach, I first model the lesson and show the expectations. Then, we try it out together as a group. Lastly, students are encouraged to try on their own. I will support students in whichever way they need that fits their individual learning style.
I love to take the interests of my students and integrate them into my lessons. I believe that children are more eager to participate when they are truly enjoying the lesson!
I am so excited to meet your learners in class & I hope to spark their love for learning the same way that my teachers did when I was young!❤️
If you have any questions about classes, please reach out and send me a message. Parent/teacher communication is important to me, and I would love to work together to meet the needs of your child.
