These sessions can be customized based on the needs of your learner.  Please send a message at the time of enrolling with your wants and desires for your learner during this time.  The structure of the class will fluctuate slightly based on the topics we need but in general, I am a casual, discussion-based teacher.  I follow a traditional "I do" with examples, "we do" the student does the work with support of the teacher, "you do" where the student does the work independently model.  I also ask the question why or explain your thinking often for both correct and incorrect answers to get students to build their thinking skills.  I also love to play games, and include them in my teaching.  I also enjoy including things that students are interested in, into my lessons.  Is your learner into Pokemon or Roadblox let me know so that those things can be incorporated into their weekly lessons. 

As this lesson is a 1:1 lesson your child will do a lot of talking. It is best if this class is taken in a spot where it is quiet with minimal distractions.   

Sessions can be for math, reading, writing, spelling, study skills, or multiple subjects.  The age range is set as 5-10 because Outschool only allows a 5 year age range.  If you have a child outside of these ages that needs tutoring please contact me I have tutoring  and teaching experience with students from ages 3 to 18. 

If your child has friends/classmates that want to do small group sessions (on the same goals), I can create group lessons to accommodate that.
