Music and movement are the building blocks of any preschool education. Not only do young children love music and movement (dance), but it also plays an important role in their healthy development.
Class experience
Young children’s attention spans are short, and their bodies need to move. I provide music and movement activities because research shows that exposure to music and movement can improve children’s learning. The benefits to music and movement include: building confidence, expressing emotions, developing social & motor skills, exploring cause & effect, improving health, exercise, better memory, creativity & imagination, reinforcing language concepts, learning new words & concepts, awareness...
We will quickly do a few stretches to warm our muscles up. The child will need to wear comfortable clothing, have an open space with room to wiggle, and a water bottle close by.
