One-On-One Customized Math Tutoring

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Biomedical Research from UCLA, where I honed my problem-solving and analytical skills, which directly inform my approach to teaching math. My passion for math education began in high school, where I organized math-related events such as guest lectures, college-level competitions, and tutoring workshops. As president of a math club, I led a team of five officers, presided over weekly meetings, and executed at least four major initiatives per quarter.  

Additionally, I have experience as a mentor for middle school girls in underserved areas, providing one-on-one support for both academic and personal development. I attended mentor meetings per quarter, strategizing ways to better support mentees. I maintained meaningful connections by writing pen pal letters per quarter and assembling care packages with educational materials, personal notes, and fun accessories. This experience taught me the importance of encouragement and personalized guidance, which I bring to my math tutoring sessions to help learners feel confident and motivated.  

I have helped students in math across different levels, from foundational arithmetic to advanced topics like calculus, focusing on building confidence and mastery through personalized instruction. My approach is patient and adaptive, catering to each learner’s unique needs, pace, and learning style. With a passion for helping others succeed and a deep understanding of math’s importance in everyday life, I’m committed to making learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
