We will have an interactive read aloud of "Wink The Ninja Who Wanted To Be Noticed" by J.C. Phillipps, then we'll discuss what we want to be noticed for, and finally we'll make a picture in the style of the book's illustrations.

US Grade 1 - 3
During this class we will listen to the story "Wink The Ninja Who Wanted To Be Noticed" by J.C. Phillipps. I'll ask the students to participate by "reading" part of the story with me. After the story, we'll talk about being noticed for doing what they love to do, and why Wink didn't like blending into the background. Then we'll take a look at this book's unique pictures. We'll recreate the illustrator's technique and each make a picture showing what they would like to be noticed for...
Students will participate and have fun interacting with great literature. Students will create a picture of themselves doing what they want to be noticed for in the style of the illustrator.
