Recycling is simple, right? If it has a recycle symbol, it goes in the recycle bin, correct? Unfortunately, it is not quite that simple. There are lots of rules regarding what kinds of plastic, glass, cardboard, and metal can be recycled. While these rules are differ depending on your location within the United States, there are some basics you need to know about what and how to recycle. We will discuss these rules and learn how to find the specific guidelines for your community. We will also discuss what happens to the items you recycle! Since recycling can be complicated, reducing and reusing your trash is the best option. We will discuss some simple tips. We will end the class by playing a game to help review what is trash and what is recyclable. Please note: - The recycling rules discussed in this class are USA focused. - The Reduce and Reuse options will be "beginner" level. This is not a "zero waste" discussion. This class is one of three classes in my Earth Day Series! Please check out the next one!
