Night flyers that use echolocation to sense their surroundings. Do they deserve their spooky reputation? Students in this class learn about common bats in North America through a short interactive presentation. Then, I guide them through 3 steps to draw a detailed Pallid bat in flight. We begin the drawing by blocking out the basic shapes of our composition. Then, we add in details with pencil and color with colored pencils. Students may add a Halloween theme background if they like or past their bat onto black paper for added contrast and a Halloween vibe. This class is will be educational and enjoyable for students who like to learn more about North American animals and express their creativity through drawing!
