High Flyers: The Evolution of Flight (Ages 8-12)

In this one time course students will learn about the evolution of flight. We will discuss what animals fly, why they might fly, how they fly, and when they started flying. Students will discover how flight evolved at least 4 separate times over the past 400 million years with insects, pterosaurs, birds, and bats. I have both a Bachelor's of science and Master's degree in Earth Science with a focus on paleontology, and have previously worked at a UNESCO fossil world heritage site.
