As a learner, I have preferred classes where I could be active in my learning and test my ideas and skills. That is where the idea for the Music Careers Series developed. For over a decade I served as a public school music teacher for the performing arts and academic music. I have taught ages preschool through high school, with all of my career including 5th - 8th grade. As a music teacher, I was a multi-time recipient of grants to fund my programs and the project team for 3 different music education non-profit organizations. For the next decade, I was an account manager and project manager in the government sector. As a holder of a Masters of Music, a CAPM certification from Project Management International, and 20 years of music and business experience, I am excited to share my love of the world of work through these authentic learning experiences.
