Students will work on number identification, counting skills, and basic addition and subtraction equations. Students will practice counting out a set of objects [up to 15] to create basic math equations.
I have worked in early childhood education for over 20 years. My instruction is driven through hands on opportunities that involve the student's own interests. These lessons create experiences that are meaningful to each student which help deepen their understanding of the skills being taught.
Students will need at least 15 pieces of a favorite snack that they will be able to use for addition and subtraction problems. Paper and a writing utensil are encouraged to practice writing the math equations. I will also send a paper with addition and subtraction problems to print out prior to class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
