Class experience
In this math camp students will learn multiple strategies to solve multiplication and division equations. Day 1: On day one of camp students will learn how to break equations into groups to solve the multiplication equation. We will also discuss the commutative property (4x3=3x4). Day 2: On day two of camp we will learn how to solve multiplication equations using arrays. Students will learn how to make the equation into an array and how to write an equation using an array. We will also...
In this class, students will be able to practice skills that they need extra practice with and learn new skills. This class is great for catching up if your learner is behind, get ahead if your learner is ready to push their skills further, or review skills already learned. We can also work on homework or prepare for a test. In the first class, we will complete an assessment unless there is prior communications. If we will be working on homework on test prep you can send me a picture of the homework or study guide before class (at least a few hours prior) so I can prepare for the lesson.
Homework Offered
Students will get a work page that they can use for extra practice. This page will not be due for class and only needs to be done if they want extra practice.Assessments Offered
Students will be assessed by discussion. Students will be asked questions during class and explain their thinking frequently.Grades Offered
Students will need paper and pencil or a dry erase board and marker each day of the camp.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
