1 file available upon enrollmentIf you're not familiar with connecting to a third party server, after downloading Minecraft, this may help you. 1. You will need to know how to log into a Microsoft Account. If you don't have one, they're free to get and are necessary because Minecraft won't allow you into a server without one. However, please make sure the account is classed as an adult account. For the Nintendo Switch users, this device may require that you link your Microsoft account with your Switch accounts in order to proceed. 2. Open up the game and select play 3. Select server (on the top tab) 4. Scroll down past all the featured servers and click the "Add Server button" 5. Input the server's name, address and port numbers. 6. Enjoy!
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
[Parental Guidance] Please be sure to look below at the materials section of this listing. It includes instructions on how to join the server, just incase your child has not joined a third party server before. Class is run on a Third party server that is hosted by Apexhosting.
We will be using Minecraft: Bedrock edition for this class (It's also known as Minecraft for Windows 10, and Pocket Edition). Therefore you will need to have your own copy of Minecraft per student participating with the class. Nintendo Switch users may also required their own subscription to Nintendo's Membership plan, in order to link your Nintendo account to your Microsoft account. Mac users may experience problems with the PC version of Minecraft because it is built to work on the Windows 10 operating system. iPads are still fully compatible with the Pocket Edition. This class takes place on a third party private server. Therefore you will need to have a free Microsoft account (Can be an Outlook, Hotmail or an Xbox account). Students who use the Nintendo Switch will need to link their Switch account to their Microsoft account. For that to work, you need to follow these steps 1. Sign in to your Microsoft account from your Switch. It will give you a code that is unique to your switch. 2. Then go to this link https://login.live.com/oauth20_remoteconnect.srf It will bring you to a Microsoft page that will ask for that code.
