However, please make sure the account is classed as an adult account. For the Nintendo Switch users, this device may require that you link your Microsoft account with your Switch accounts in order to proceed. 2. Open up the game and select play 3. We will be using Minecraft: Bedrock edition for this class (It's also known as Minecraft for Windows 10, and Pocket Edition). Therefore you will need to have your own copy of Minecraft per student participating with the class. Nintendo Switch users may also required their own subscription to Nintendo's Membership plan, in order to link your Nintendo account to your Microsoft account. Mac users may experience problems with the PC version of Minecraft because it is built to work on the Windows 10 operating system. iPads are still fully compatible with the Pocket Edition. This class takes place on a third party private server. Therefore you will need to have a free Microsoft account (Can be an Outlook, Hotmail or an Xbox account). Students who use the Nintendo Switch will need to link their Switch account to their Microsoft account. For that to work, you need to follow these steps 1. Sign in to your Microsoft account from your Switch. It will give you a code that is unique to your switch. 2. Then go to this link https://login.live.com/oauth20_remoteconnect.srf It will bring you to a Microsoft page that will ask for that code.
